why is number 15 something to boast about?

I've seen bands kicked off their record labels for having their first single hit higher than that.

With the amount of publicity this had as well- front pages on NME, Q etc.

The people have spoken. Nobody gives two shits any more about this dadrock plagiariser and his simian brother.

Radiohead have never had a number one- does that mean people don't give a s**t about them? No, of course not. Jigsaw falling into place (first single from IR) only reached 30- and that's a great song. Charts mean sweet FA nowadays.

you cannot buy singles in shops so loads of people (me included) do not buy anymore that is why the charts are full of x factor exposure artists only or hip hop played all day long on music channels with girls in the videos dancing. It is not about the music now it is the visuals
considering all that no 15 is good for noel who did not appear on any tv shows to plug it
