he's right, he is. Def Maybe was great for what it was and the power and bluster of the music carried the songs over brilliantly and hey, lets face it, they are a young mans work but c'mon "i'm feeling Supersonic, give me gin and tonic". Hardly fuckin Proust, is it? It's brilliant in a Nevermind the Bollocks way, it's legendary and it's legendary album but he's right, he does write better songs now. Better doesn't necessarily mean that they'll illicit the same sort of hysterical response though.
