DOYS Tour 08/09, any recordings anywhere?

Postby alfiesred47 » 28 Jun 2010, 09:50

I know MTV broadcast the Wembley gig live, and there was 'Stnading On the Edge of the Noise' which was in the rehearsal studio, but does anyone know of an official concert DVD for this world tour? I think this was the best and most diverse setlist yet, so why, 2 years later, is there still no tour DVD? Come on oasisinet!

There is no official DVD of that tour but the extra CD with 'Time Flies...' has mostly the same setlist. I'm still waiting for the 2nd night of Knebworth to be released, and that was 14 years ago. :(

Why do people want the 2nd Knebworth night released?

1. We already have it.

2. The first night was alot better

1. We don't already have it (officially) and YouTube quality is absolute s**t.

2. That's a matter of opinion - I prefer the second, "This is history..."

The second night probably means more to the people who couldn't be there - listening to it on the radio was the next best thing.

I want it because I have the BBC Radio 1 recording from the night but it's incomplete - they couldn't air any tracks from Be Here Now, Jo Whiley kept interupting and 'Champagne Supernova' and 'I Am The Walrus' were from the night before.

My original point though was that two years isn't a long time to wait for a DVD.

Well there's a 2nd generation vhs copy available, and thats good enough for me.

Wouldn't you rather see something you've never saw before, I know I would

Personally, I'd rather see something released where the band are at their best. I don't think they were at their worse in 2008/9 but they were certainly nowhere near their best.

I haven't heard of any DVD, but maybe if you check on Youtube you'll find a lot of videos from their last tour.

They will probably want to cash in on Wembley Stadium Heaton Park with more people having been there, just like Maine Rd Earls Court back in the day, but those gigs although most hyped probably werent the best of the tour- the best was The Stadium of Light due to the crowd- edgy, badly organised, people being locked out during Kasabian getting angry, huge crushes on the concourse and loud- even Liam said on Twitter it was the loudest crowd of the tour. Also the Argentina gigs sound amazing on you tube (although the seats look a bit empty)
