noel is suffering from Tinnitus

:| Poor Noel suffering from Tinnitus. I do too and its horrible at times and there is no cure. Mine doesn't affect my hearing YET and it is LOW GRADE according to the consultant.Mine is from listening to live loud music all these years. I expect it started when I sat under the bass speakers at a Status Quo concert at Hammersmith. Some people who talk in a certain way really hurt my ears and I have to walk away. The worst time is at night when it is quiet when I say to my husband, can you hear that boom boom bass loud noise and he says no. It is just in my ear. Anybody who listens to loud music in their ears from ipods or live gigs WILL get this I have no doubt .
Would I have missed attending all those live gigs (13 Oasis plus Noel at the TCT) NO, but putting up with this noise is sometimes unbearable, so kids, protect your ears, wear earplugs when attending live gigs. I don't care how silly I look with my florescent plugs sticking out!!!

I don't think my hearing is 100%. As you say, personal music players and live gigs etc.. Some of the Oasis gigs I attended gave my internal organs a good shake around, too! I'm a bit more cautious these days with volume. Time will tell.

Have you ever stood right next to the speakers at the side of the stage? Oasis gigs were really loud, especially in the 90's.

No, because I was well aware of the fact that this might eventually bring on tinnitus.

And the first Oasis gig I went to was in 2000. :p
