Noel's J-200 question

Wow... Just because Noel says he bought two J-150s doesn't mean those are the guitars he plays on stage. Also, you have to provide a link to where you read that. You can't just post "Noel said this" without a citation.

If you understood guitars, you would know that even though the body looks the same models are often decided on the subtle features such as binding, inlays, bridges, tuners, hardware color. And then you would know those guitars aren't J-150s.

Here is a picture of Noel playing his "Hotel Beater" with Neal Casal of the Cardinals. It is a J-200.

Can't post without a citation? I can post whatever I like!

It's in the June 2002 issue of guitarist magazine

Oh my god! Somebody on this site finally correctly identified a guitar!

Yes, that is without a doubt a J-200JR. No binding on the headstock, and it does look smaller.

Whatever Noel says is right, but did Noel tell you what guitars he tours with or what guitar is in a certain picture? Noel owns and buys more guitars than anyone here can fathom. Just because he says he bought a certain guitar doesn't mean he likes it, plays it, or tours with it.

There are, obviously, pictures of the guitars that Noel tours with. And since we can see the pictures it is obvious that they are certain models. Even though the shape is the same there are tell-tale signs of what model a guitar is. Binding, the bridge, the inlay work, what woods were used, finish, et cetera.

don't bother trying to find a &200jr. I've been looking for a f**king 200jr for over a year and all the vintage shops I've found don't have them and they've been discontinued.

I didn't know he used a junior though. I always figured they were regular j200s. That's cool. Still looks big on him.
